On the afternoon of August 16th, Suzhong Group held a mid year 2023 operational analysis meeting in the fourth floor conference hall of the headquarters. The meeting comprehensively summarized and analyzed the operational situation of the group in the first half of the year, and systematically deployed the next stage of work. Deng Jiazhong, Vice Mayor of Haian City, relevant leaders of the Municipal Construction Management Bureau, Construction Industry Service Center, and Political and Legal Special Class, as well as executives of the group in the sea, leaders of various units, regional companies, engineering companies, and subsidiaries attended the meeting.

Leader's speech

Vice Mayor Deng Jiazhong affirmed the pragmatic measures taken by the Suzhong Group in the face of difficulties and challenges. He expressed hope to all the people of Suzhou from three aspects: first, to boost confidence by recognizing the situation. Confidence is more important than gold. We should seize the opportunities supported by relevant national policies, enhance development confidence, and strive to climb the slope and overcome obstacles. The second is to form a joint force through working together in the same boat. Suzhong Group is the Suzhong Group of Haian City and its people. The Haian City Government will continue to provide assistance and support to Suzhong, and all Suzhong people must shoulder heavy responsibilities, work together, and overcome difficulties together. The third is to break through as soon as possible in diversified expansion. Development is the hard truth. We should seize opportunities in international engineering, rural revitalization, and urban renewal, and strive to achieve a good development situation with diverse markets, businesses, and talents.

Group Chairman Da Honghu emphasized in his speech that in the face of current difficulties, we must remain firm in our confidence. This confidence comes from national policies, market opportunities, support from party committees and governments at all levels, as well as from ourselves.

Regarding how leaders at all levels can do their work well, Chairman Da hopes that everyone will have less complaining mentality, not have a "lying flat" mentality, and not follow the backward. They should continue to focus on the three central tasks of "settlement and collection, market development, and credit repair". Through this operational work meeting, we will benchmark against the advanced, identify gaps, and focus on achieving results in settlement and collection work in the second half of the year. Finally, Chairman Da requests everyone to control themselves and manage themselves well. Group President Chen Yongming delivered a Mid Year Work Report. He summarized and analyzed the macro situation and group operations from three aspects: the warming of the situation and policies, overall stability of operations, and bottoming out of risks.

In the second half of the year, President Chen requested everyone to strengthen their responsibilities, focus on tackling challenges, and ensure the completion of the group's annual goals and tasks: first, to "face difficulties in market development"; second, to "make real efforts in settlement and collection"; third, to "make every effort" in credit repair; fourth, to "maintain consistency" in on-site management; fifth, to "clarify responsibilities, rights, and interests" of the cooperative team; and sixth, to "highlight key points" in digital construction. At the same time, he also emphasized specific work on asset management, audit supervision, cost control, talent stability, corporate governance norms, and basic management assessment.

Comprehensive inspection report

Group Chief Engineer Qian Hong and Safety Director Sun Chunhuan respectively reported on the annual comprehensive inspection of the group, helping various markets and projects identify existing problems, fill development gaps, and improve operational quality.

Communication and sharing

In the first half of the year, many units have put in efforts, made innovations, and achieved practical results in their operations and management. The meeting invited leaders from ten units, including Central Plains Regional Company, Northwest Regional Company, Third Engineering Company, Fifth Engineering Company, Seventh Engineering Company, Tenth Engineering Company, Nineteenth Engineering Company, Xinjiang Suzhong, International Company, and Suzhong Dake, to exchange and share ideas from the perspectives of risk control, business transformation, settlement and collection, cost management, and technological innovation, Provided practices that can be learned and referenced for other sister units.

Legal Lectures

In response to the legal risk issues currently plaguing construction enterprises, the conference invited Lawyer Gu Zengping, Senior Partner of Shanghai Jianwei Law Firm, to give a special lecture. Lawyer Gu started with the "Five Special Actions" and explained in detail the specific working methods and techniques for resolving major legal risks in construction enterprises, which benefited all attendees greatly.
