On the morning of November 10th, the opening ceremony of Nantong Urban Rail Transit Line 1 was held at Exit 4 of the Grand Theater Station. Wang Hui, Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Party Committee, announced that the first phase of the Nantong Urban Rail Transit Line 1 project will be opened! This marks the official entry of Nantong into the "subway era"!

The Nantong Urban Rail Transit Line 1 starts from Pingchao Station, passes through Tongzhou District, Chongchuan District, Nantong Innovation Zone, Nantong Development Zone and other areas, and ends at Zhenxing Road Station. It has a total of 28 stations, with a total length of 39.182 kilometers. It is the largest, most invested, and most complex infrastructure project in the history of Nantong urban construction, and also the longest subway construction line in the first city in the province.

At the beginning of 2020, Suzhong Group and China Railway Construction and Installation Corporation formed a consortium to participate in the bidding for six sections of the mechanical and electrical installation project of the first phase of Nantong Urban Rail Transit Line 1. They successfully won the largest A group 06 section among the six sections, becoming one of the builders of this important infrastructure project.

In order to ensure the high-quality completion of the project, Suzhong Group has selected elite forces to invest in project construction. Chairman Da Honghu, President Chen Yongming, and other group leaders have visited the underground construction site multiple times and guided project construction. Jianghai Regional Company, Second Engineering Company, and Engineering General Contracting Company provide comprehensive support and services for project promotion. All Suzhong builders participating in the project have overcome the adverse effects of multiple rounds of epidemics, Day and night, we worked tirelessly and completed all the construction tasks of Section 06 with high quality, contributing to the urban development of Nantong with the strength of the Soviet Union and Central China.
