On January 12th, SuZhong Group held a grand 2025 annual summary conference. Looking back on 2025, we forged ahead with unyielding strength amidst difficulties and challenges; looking ahead to 2026, we are determined to "work together" and inspire our iron army to join hands to write a new chapter for SuZhong.

In the winter of 1930, facing the "encirclement and suppression" by a tenfold stronger enemy, the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army used "unity of purpose" to break the deadlock in the ironclad encirclement. "Unity of purpose" represents the absolute trust between commanders and fighters when the Red Army faced a choice of survival; it represents the shared life and death of the army and the people when they were in a precarious situation; it also represents the "unity of purpose" that allowed them to lay a dense net in Longgang and sweep across 700 miles within 15 days. Inspired by this, Chairman Mao wrote the line "Arouse millions of workers and peasants, unite in purpose" in "Fisherman's Pride - Countering the First Major 'Encirclement and Suppression'".

The theme of the 2025 annual meeting of SuZhong Group is "Working Together with One Heart", which not only pays tribute to the feats of our predecessors but also aims to embody the great strength of the Red Army, which was able to maintain a unified mindset, march in unison, and unite their efforts in the darkest moments. "Working Together with One Heart" is the foundation that will enable us to overcome challenges in the future, and it is also the cornerstone for us to scale new heights.

All senior management and middle-level executives of the group, heads of various units, and award-winning representatives participated in the event at the main venue. In his speech, Tan Zhen, Secretary of the Haian Municipal Party Committee, recognized the contributions made by Haian's "iron army of construction" represented by the SuZhong Group to the economic and social development of his hometown, as well as the achievements made by the SuZhong Group in key areas such as settlement and collection, debt resolution, and business expansion over the past year.

Secretary Tan emphasized that the wheel of history keeps rolling forward, and the future of the construction industry remains challenging. The reality of weak companies being eliminated and strong ones remaining persists, and victory will surely belong to those enterprises that see the trend clearly, dare to reform, and strive with responsibility. In the new year, SuZhong Group must fully guard against risks, continue to take survival and stability as the main theme of development, scientifically and orderly advance key tasks such as asset revitalization and debt collection, comprehensively reduce debt, stabilize cash flow, and take multiple measures to prevent and resolve production and operation risks; it must adhere to relying on large and strong alliances, further strengthen cooperation with central enterprises and state-owned enterprises, continue to march towards large-scale comprehensive projects with high technological content, great technical difficulty, and high profitability, and continuously improve market share and competitiveness; it must expand overseas markets, pay close attention to markets along the "Belt and Road" and countries that have signed multilateral agreements such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), strengthen cooperation with domestic advantageous enterprises, actively participate in national aid construction projects, foreign industrial investment projects, and national policy-oriented projects, and continuously expand international market share; it must strengthen innovation leadership, increase technological innovation and talent introduction and cultivation efforts, accelerate new breakthroughs in frontier fields, core links, and key technologies, continuously consolidate technological, management, and brand advantages, and build a more competitive modern construction enterprise.

Secretary Tan stated that the municipal party committee and government will unwaveringly serve as a strong backing for enterprises, continuously optimize policy supply, coordinate resources from all parties, enhance service efficiency, and effectively escort the development of enterprises. He required the special working group for the construction industry to fully leverage its role in legal and litigation-related matters, credit financing, and clearing of project payments, and take practical measures to help enterprises overcome difficulties and ensure their stable and healthy operation.

Finally, Secretary Tan encouraged all the staff of SuZhong Group that with the joint efforts of the whole city and the care and support from all sectors of society, SuZhong Group will surely accelerate its way out of the industry adjustment trough and compose a new chapter of transformation and development, contributing more "SuZhong strength" to the stable and healthy development of the construction industry in Haian.

Da Honghu, Chairman of SuZhong Group, stated that although the industry is experiencing a profound and protracted "cold winter", the overseas market space and development opportunities, as well as the domestic construction industry's market stock, make this track worth persisting in. However, the current situation is extremely difficult. This is both a knockout round and a qualifying round.

Chairman Da summarized the solution to the current predicament faced by Su Zhong as "focusing on low costs and weathering the storm together". He emphasized that adhering to the old platform is not about passively waiting, but about gritting our teeth and "enduring" forward. We must mobilize all legal and compliant resources, innovate all possible ways of debt collection, and fight a tough battle to reduce costs and clear debts. The mission of the new platform is to participate in market competition at low costs. The requirements for low costs are quality compliance, safe production, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Chairman Da pointed out that low-cost competition requires thrift and living "tightly", and what is saved is profit, which is competitiveness. However, "low cost" is not simply about "saving", but more about precise "calculation": First, we must calculate the benefits of "technology empowerment" well, actively introducing new construction technologies, new materials, and new processes to reduce production and management costs; second, we must calculate the benefits of "mechanism reengineering" well, increase positive incentives, so that those who are willing, capable, and skilled can get their due rewards, strengthen rigid constraints, clarify red lines and bottom lines, and stimulate the team's endogenous motivation and overall vitality; third, we must calculate the benefits of "management efficiency" well, vigorously promote flat structures, cut redundant intermediate links, and use streamlined processes to reduce costs.

Finally, Chairman Da encouraged all the employees of SuZhong: "Focusing on low costs" is our helpless yet necessary survival strategy, while "overcoming difficulties together" is our only and necessary spiritual support. The road ahead is tough, but not impassable. We have experienced glory and possess resilience. As long as the entire group is united and pragmatic, relying on collective wisdom and strength, we will eventually endure the "cold winter"!

In the challenging year of 2025, the mutual support of our partners, the orderly implementation of key tasks, and the unremitting efforts of everyone in every department jointly formed the driving force that propelled SuZhong forward. The meeting focused on commending the outstanding representatives among them. Municipal leaders and group leaders presented awards to the representatives of units that won the 2025 "Sharing Weal and Woe" Award and the "Key Task Promotion" Award, as well as individuals who won the "Responsibility and Dedication" Award, and took a group photo as a souvenir.

This year, the Haian Municipal Committee and Municipal Government have fully leveraged the organizational and coordination functions of the government task force, political and legal task force, financial task force, construction industry service center, and other organizations to increase support for services such as judicial, financial, and fund collection in central Jiangsu. They have made every effort to help enterprises overcome difficulties. Three employees from relevant departments of the group used their observations on the same day to reflect the heartwarming moments when the task force leaders were busy for central Jiangsu. It was an ordinary day, but it also reflected the daily efforts the task force made for central Jiangsu. At the event, employees from central Jiangsu presented handmade "little red flowers" to all leaders who had helped central Jiangsu, expressing gratitude for their exhausting journeys, sleepless nights, and unwavering commitment to central Jiangsu.

This year, the people of SuZhong focused on three central tasks: "credit restoration, business expansion, and debt collection and clearance". They spared no effort to fulfill their responsibilities around the annual goals. The journey was long and fraught with obstacles, and there were difficulties and grievances in dealing with complex issues. However, this never eroded our determination and courage to face challenges and work hard. Representatives from the three "fronts" of credit restoration, business expansion, and debt collection and clearance used their narratives to recreate the picture of all SuZhong people bravely fighting in 2025. This year, the people of SuZhong faced the difficulties of the domestic market, were not afraid of the harsh environment and poor conditions abroad, did not fear the pains of transitioning to unfamiliar fields, and the hardships of breaking through barriers. They firmly sought new living spaces and delivered impressive "results" in new fields and overseas markets. Four "reporters" from SuZhong's media and project fronts broadcast live the construction scenes of the group's new business projects and overseas projects in full swing. The employees of the group's marketing department used the theme "Our Overseas 'Battle Plan'" to recall the resolute footprints of SuZhong's "expeditionary force" as they prepared to venture overseas. Managers and foreign SuZhong builders in countries such as Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Angola spoke with a "common voice in a foreign land" and sent blessings to SuZhong through videos.

At the end of the event, the conference site and the Su Zhong people from all corners of the country sang together the "Song of Su Zhong Construction". The 2025 Su Zhong Group Summary Conference came to a successful conclusion amidst the powerful and impassioned melody.

With a journey of thousands of miles and strong winds at our backs, we set off again with a weighty responsibility!
